This is my first G Body and my first time at restoring a car. I got this car from my uncle after 20 years of asking for it. He finally called me last March and asked me if I still wanted the car. Now $2,000 later i have it. The car has been sitting in my driveway for about 8 months now. I have been buying parts on top of parts. It's time to start with the build. I am sure I will need help alone the way.

nice start! Once you get that body rolling and the body off the old frame you are almost done!

Looks like you have a great start going! I really need to get some of those UMI parts for my build. I wish my '79 was as clean as yours.

Thanks guys, I drove it and people where throwing their hand up on the interstate. Need to find a streering box, a brake proportion valve, and stainless fuel lines (don't know which ones to get) then I will have all the parts for the frame.

Just ran into a BIG problem :( ....the house where I was going to build my car at is about to be taken.....I wish I had a garage at my house.....would do it in the driveway , but I will be fined.....I guess I will have to pay someone to do it for me...nothing like build it yourself

9inch rear, 370 gears, disc brakes front and back, new calibers front and back, new brake lines, turbo 350 with shift kit, new sand blaster (don't need anymore), pretty much everything for the frame, but the streering box, a brake proportion valve, and stainless fuel lines. I am going to put the rearend together in my house. Other half of the room is packed with interior and exterior parts (mostly new). Can someonetell me what streering box and brake proportion valve to get?
