I got them out of a junk yard. The older 4wd trucks that have the 4wd shifter on the floor has brushes in them and I took them out and used them for my shifter. I fabricated a new stainless cover plate the goes under the bezel and tig welded the brushes it. It worked out really nice.

I also have a spare NOS set but it won't be worth much soon. I sent Toby a spare so he can get them re popped. BTW, I think the correct rubber gasket material under the lightning rod plate is available from G body parts if you want to swap it out. It isn't supposed to have thickness changes or a pattern on the show surface.
