Correct me if im wrong but that car came with a TH350 stock right? If so the Dual Gate should work on the TH400.

Yes, but then you need to ask yourself 'do I really need a th400 in my car at the power level I'm at?'. If the answer's 'yes', then you're good to go. If the answer is 'no', then 'upgrading' to a th400 is actually a downgrade vs a th350.

the only reason I am going to put in the th400 is because the 350 has a rod knock and I have a 455 just sitting around

The shifter will be the easiest part. Swapping to a TH400 will require a different length driveshaft, different yoke & relocated crossmember. Also, if you are planning to use a stock style valve body, the TH400 uses an electric solenoid to kick down vs. the cable on the TH350.

As far as I know the 200r4 crosmember works maybe with a little bit of mods, there is a good drive shaft shop here in town that claims they can make me one that works and the carb mounted kickdown swich is like $50 bucks from jegs. But I could be wrong.
