Anyone have pics of an installed fiberglass front bumper?

I'm looking for pics of the back side of one, also the backside installed. I want to see how much room is behind the bumper and how it bolts to the frame? Same as factory? Is there more room?

I have an idea to custom build a steel bumper so I will have some protection behind a fiberglass shell that would be sacrificial, obviously I never plan to use it but want something just in case. I like the flush mount fiberglass look, if for some reason my idea does not work out I will shorten and tuck the stock steel bumper.

Any info or pics for a fiberglass front bumper would be helpful. Thanks

This is one I like saw it on ebay.

I had the glass one on my brown wagon, There is room to put something additional back there as a backup or for strength, which I had every intention on doing. FWIW, they take some massaging to get the body lines and such "right" to look nice. Just a tip before you get the fenders painted and all before fitting the glass bumper.

Thanks, I think we are going this route however I am going to trim the sides some and pull it back to the core support more. Probably as much as possible after building the bumper bar behind it.

very nice...Do you know what the bolt size is for the rear bumper mounts. I removed the filler trim pieces and the bolts that stick off the body are a weird size...some where between 1/4 and 5/16. The old nuts were a little rusty but are weird push bolts. thanks

These are metric cars, everything other than the Chevrolet engine bolts will be metric, and that includes most accessories bolted to the engine
