woo finally a wagon site :)
I have a 80 Malibu wagon and I have been trying to look up info on it to see how rare the car is. I looked up the vin and it says it came with 3.8l , 2 73 rear end and posi traction with rally wheels and (deluxe) body moldings. Also im from Canada so this car was made in Canada (maybe bc) it also had a factory 200 tach so if anyone has info or where I can find out more plz let me know

Welcome! Just peruse the search and you will find lots of info here. As for factory 4 speeds, very rare. I had a factory 3 speed, which was what the base V-6 cars came with. But I make all my cars 4 speeds, and several guys on here have also.

Welcome aboard Domie.
You've come to a good site for wagon lovers. Did you say the car was originally a 4-spd car? The reason I ask is because I see where a shifter was mounted on the column...unless the column was replaced. Looks like a good project. I think it's time to get back to work on it..

Where in Canada are you from? There's a bunch of Canadian members here.

So the column was replaced. I hope you held on to the standard shift column. They're not easy to come by...and standard shift tilt columns are even rarer.
It's cool that you have the factory tach and gauges in the dash.

So you're way up in Manitoba. One of our members, O.D.Showtime is from Regina, Saskatchewan . He's a good source for parts (and a good guy) if you're looking for anything.

Happy thanksgiving!
