My friend has a bunch of parts we're getting ready to sell, but we found two particular intakes that we don't really have any info on.

They're both stock GM parts, both aluminum, They both have the cast numbers 14057053, They are both EGR.

The first intake says "GM CFM" and below that it has the cast number, and then below that it has a very large print number 26

The only difference in the other one is the large print number below the cast number, on this one the large print number is 45

Any idea what these are? or maybe a site for information on these parts?

'Thanks.

wiki says:
part # 14057053 4-Barrel Late Model Not Listed All 305 & 350 Aluminum passenger car camaro and truck 1980 - 1985 This is same as the cast iron version, not bad on stock or near stock engine, Comparable to edelbrock performer 2101 or 3701. Good junkyard find for replacing two barrel or cast iron manifold if you plan on using a quadrajet carb. Has good low end throttle response and midrange is ok, will not fit performer or holley carbs, not for racing, great for 305.

I replaced a 2 barrel years ago on a 305 with one of these. Worked pretty good.

Not True.. The CFM is a great intake. It is a dual plane high rise similar to edelbrock performer RPM. It is for spreadbore carbs. If you know how to tune carbs. Which you really need to if you run a holley. Then you could tune a Qjet. Which the carb shop and muscle car show will tell you....Is far better carb..they will flow 850cfm without bogging like a Holley. you can only run a stummbly 600cfm on a 350 chevy without overcarbing..Qjets give what you need.

USE the CFM it was on the Z28's..and will work better on the street than a edelbrake!! Single planes only work topend for 10 seconds.
