Hi everyone,
I am a new user here and I am looking for some information and possibly pictures of a G body fitted with 16" or 17" wheel and tire combo's. I've been told that the 78 Monte can fit 15x7, 16x7 and 17x7 wheels. I am getting close to outfitting my 78 Monte with new wheels. At this point I like the Torq-Thrust II's and the American Racing Hopster. If someone would have a picture of them fitted under a car would be great! I am very open to any ideas on other wheels also.

Thanks everyone, Mark[/img]

I just saw the pictures of tony-ss and his 79 Monte with 17's, very nice

I have 15 x 7 eagle alloy wheels on my 78 Monte they are a copy of the Torque Thrust II's. I have the smallest 15" BF Goodrich tires I can put on the 15x7 wheels in front and I have 255 x 60 x 15 BF Goodrich on the rear 15 x7 wheels in back. I still have a couple of inches of room for a bigger wheel and/or tire.

Those really look sharp against the dark color of the car.. What do you think of the Rasied White Lettered on a car that will be a bright silver?

Yes, thats basically what style I wanted. Tuner was just the best way to describe it.
Overall I like the old muscle style wheels, but everyone has them and Id like to be a little different. Id really like to get some volk racing wheels, but all the websites I checked wont fit the car, Not that I could afford them anyway. The only reason I ever even thought about putting any on was because I was playing Forza 2 and saw that volk wheels look pretty good on the GNX in the game.
The wheels look like this, minus the ugly whatever it is. I probably wouldnt go that big of rim either.

I have never seen a car that didn't look good with white lettered tires. That is why I always get BF Goodrich tires they always look sharp no matter what color the car is. Should look great on a bright silver car. Maybe I'm just to old school but I've always loved the look of white lettered tires.
