Brake proportioning valve

I think mine is defective cause I'm not getting any pressure to the front calipers, just the rear. I wouldn't be opposed to defeating the separate front to rear systems...like in the good old days. Why couldn't I replace it with a simple junction block, all lines merging at that spot? Anybody seen such a block offered in the aftermarket?

your rear brakes will locking up every time you hit the brakes if you aren't using a proportioning valve...

Plus, the prop valve also contains a residual pressure valve to keep the rear brakes in adjustment. If you remove this, the wheel cylinders will retract too far and the back brakes will fail to function.
