My 81 Limited Sport Coupe Build (Picture Thread)

Hey guys and girls, I figured I would start a build thread for my Regal. I will be updating this as much as I can so stay tooned!
P.S. - Please keep the flaming to a minimum!

I purchased the car in August 2011. A (From what i've been told) rare 1981 Limited Sport Coupe.






The paint was pretty destroyed, it looked like somebody put some rubbing compound on it in the hot sun and let it dry..



So, I gave it a good buff and wax, the clearcoat is pretty much toast after sitting out in the sun for the past 32 years.





Heres where the fun starts...

If you are a fan of the 231's you might want to look away..

The old motor was pretty tired and in need of a serious overhaul. Not really something I wanted to do because honestly, I wanted some good HP numbers for a decent price, so...

Tear down.





Out came the heat and AC..


Parts pile is starting to grow.



All of the sudden..






Things started getting cleaned up.




Then she sat while I saved my money.


The one day this showed up at my door..



The engine is a BluePrint 396sbc crate motor. The included dyno sheets claimed 486.3hp@5700 and 503.6tq@5000

Then came some of the parts!







Once I had everything it was off to a family friends place to use his big shop for the swap.






Cut out the spare tire well to make room for my battery box.



Found a sneaky place for my shutoff switch.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! Very much appreciated!

As for the transmission, it is a TH400, stage 3 shift kit and manual valve body with a b&m +2qt transmission pan.

Future plans include:
-Moser 9inch rear end
-All new suspension setup (undecided on what I want to run)
-Upgrade the brakes
-Corbeau bucket seats
-Rear seat delete
-8pt cage (for now)
-Line lock
-MAYBE a 125 shot

IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME OUT!!!--- I'm looking to source out some inner fenders (I know this topic has been covered numerous times) I want something metal and I want something SMOOTH!

Gbodyparts is planning to produce some all-aluminum pieces but I don't know if id be willing to spend $800-$900 for them..(I'm only 21 and I've already been working my *ss off to support the cost of this build LOL)

I pulled my car out of the snow bank to do a little bit of work on it since it was nice out (only -2 Celsius)
