Lookin for info on a better automatic trans for my81 wagon. Got the original tr350 but I hate revving at 2600rpm at 55mph. What can I swap In there that bolts up to the normAl 350 pattern with no modifications?

Theres a ton of transes that will bolt up to your 350 without mods, I'm guessing you want an overdrive. Well whatever you pick will need a new crossmember and the driveshaft will need to be cut.
Th200 4r 700r4 are the common ones, a 200 will be the easiest since they came in these cars as an option. But a strong one is not cheap!

As far as overdrive go, the 200R4 is the best choice, then the 700R4. Both will be expensive to bring it up to track duty. Both will need a new crossmember, but the 700R4 is the only one that will need a new length drive shaft. The 200R4 is the same length as the TH350. Cost wise it still evens out because the 200R4 is more expensive to build up to handle power.
There is another option, You could put a GearVenders overdrive unit on the 350. The cost to do that is close to building a strong 200R4. But add the cost of building up your 350, putting on the GV unit, fabbing a crossmember, and getting a driveshaft cut, you will pass the expense of the other 2 options.
Choose wisely.

Hmm thanx for input guys. My t350 has some stuff done to it now an barks good when hammering into it. On a empty street of course lol. And yes a overdrive would be nice. I can just stay out of the high mph like I have been. 40mph is like 1700 rpm it aint tobad on the sbc. My fear is the motor not being able to handle the higher rpm on a consistent bases. Sounds kool as hell tho lol

2600rpm at 55mph is not that bad, won't get you any gas mileage awards but a good built motor will last forever if cooled properly and it should at that speed.

Idk nothing about this motor besides some ones word about whats inside of it. But thats 2 owners ago lol. I can live with the bad gas mileage for now. Runs and drives for me this year an thats all I really wanted out of a toy. I keep telling my friends that bug me to do a frame off that I got the whole rest of my life 4 that lol. Im keeping her 4 awhile

According to the richmondgear.com's calculator, 2600 RPM at 55 MPH with a 25.7" tall tire (stock size) gives about a 3.73 gear. Adding a 2004r with a .67 overdrive gear changes it to just under 1800 RPM at 55 MPH. I'd say the 2004r would be an excellent candidate for this. My car has a 2.41 gear and at 55 MPH, I get 1733 RPM. That's how good an OD is, keep the 3.73 but still get the mileage of a car with a 2.41 gear. You could easily do a 4.10 gear for a street car but that'd be nuts. Right?!?!?! Hmmmm...
