what gears did the 307 come with originally... cause i know i have 2.14 cause it had the V6 before the 307

the cars came with a few different ratios, best bet it to check out rpo codes

most V6's had a 2.41 but some had a 3.23. Diesels have the 2.14 as well as some unfortunate gas V8's.

BTW, as the SEARCH! Gestapo here, I will tell you that common RPO codes are listed in the How To section, including gear ratios. I should know because I put it there.

another ? about gears

if i were to switch from 2.14 or 3.23 i have TH350 and non computer controlled, so how does the tranny 's shift points change from the different gears

Your shift points will remain the same.

The only part you'll need to change in your tranny is the speedometer gear.
