But hey guys, Just understand not all tow truck operators are scheming to steal your ride.. But I am just pointing out that it's something very very hard to stop from happening, With a Flat Bed and a Snatch block I can pull a paralleled car from it's spot in under a minute, Not saying that I will do it for Ill Gotten gains but some will so even if you park your car in front of another car and I can run a line to a neighbours car or a tree it could be got.

You could always park it between 2 cars with one behind it, But if the deal is run by a pro they will send 2 trucks or one with Go-Jacks

Park it in the garage and get a good home alarm :D And like has been said never confront a thief the bad apples carry weapons to and trust me they might be more willing to use it

i ALWAYS carry a taurus 9mm... if i cant hit my target with 17 shots, then i dont deserve to carry it... only reason i carry my taurus instead of any of my others is cause with the taurus i have a 1/2" grouping at 20 yards vs say my 1911 which is closer to 2"... and i wouldnt hesitate to drop someone if i had to... the fact that i carry in an open shoulder holster for the world to see, i think helps as a deterent... there are "muscle" cars on every corner in my neighborhood and i am the only one that carries openly... if i was a theif, i would choose the nova 2 houses down, cause he ISNT outside working on his car with a gun strapped to his side... also, a couple security cameras help...

I've heard of concealment laws but never any law that allows you to brandish your firearm in public....

Yeah I live in Buffalo and I'm super paranoid of getting my ride stolen in the city. When I go out I generally won't go somewhere that I won't have it in plain view. If I'm going out downtown I usually won't bring the car. I have a column locker with a attachment and sometimes I pull the fuse for the fuel injectors. I know its not fool proof but what is?

brandish, no... but open carry is legal in CT as long as you have your permit to carry... its not practiced often in public due to the attention it draws, especially after the sandyhook shooting... but i still practice it, cause i dont want to have to fight with a shirt or jacket to get to my firearm in case of an emergency... learn the laws... ctcarry.com

Almost everything you want to know about open carry, www.opencarry.org and almost every state has an open carry page on facebook.

yuppp... i posted the ctcarry.com cause thats the one i studied being as i live in this craptastic state... i should buff up on my knowledge of the laws being as so many have changed since sandyhook... living a few miles from, and working in the sandyhook/newtown area everyday, i saw the outpouring of the public after the shooting... alot of police officers, emts, ambulance, firemen, first reaponders didnt go back to work after that day... and i dont blame them...

Federal law defines brandished as, “with reference to a dangerous weapon (including a firearm) means that all or part of the weapon was displayed, or the presence of the weapon was otherwise made known to another person, in order to intimidate that person, regardless of whether the weapon was directly visible to that person. Accordingly, although the dangerous weapon does not have to be directly visible, the weapon must be present.” (18 USCS Appx § 1B1.1)

and open carry, is NOT brandishing a weapon... i open carry, not to try to intimidate, but to let those around me know i am carrying and i love my second amendment right... i have been pulled over quite a few times, and i ALWAYS put both hands on the steering wheel... i have had mixed reactions, had a cop immediately draw down on me when he saw the firearm, wait for a second car to arrive, and then had that guy remove my gun while he stayed with his sights trained on me, all the while i was telling him, "i have my PTC" and had another just ask for me to show my him my PTC... best had to be when my brother n law and i were on our way up to the new haven racoon club to go shooting, and the back of the trailblazer was literally filled with guns... my brother in law is crippled from getting shot in the back a little over 15 years ago, (someon shot at his car, hit him with 3 rounds) and his life is now guns, he became a gunsmith, teaches the firearm safety classes, etc... well, he has over 75 firearms, last real number i knew was 83, but he buys n sells guns everyday so that number could be higher or lower... getting pulled over for speeding on I-95, with a trailblazer with over a dozen rifles and shotguns, and another dozen plus handguns, my brother in law dressed in all camo... cop-"step outta the car, slowly"... sean-"wtf do you think that wheel chair is for? step outta the car? hey pal, i hate to break it to you but i havent been able to "step" anywhere for a long time"... after wasting close to an hour of our day, making us miss the clay tournament and late for the 100 yard, they, and i say they because by this point there were quite a few cops there, let us go with a written warning...

AND if anyone is ever in the CT area, or lives in CT and wants to go shooting, we will gladly bring you... there is no fee for guests to go shooting at the range we are members at... only thing is its a BYOG... they dont rent guns or sell ammo... im just lucky i have sean as my bro n law, before we go up there, i walk into his room, which might as well be a giant gun safe with a bed, lol, and pick out anything i feel like shooting... but, AMMO is expensive, so if you want to spend a day shooting something fun, like some of the AR-15's, chipping in towards ammo is highly appreciated... if you spend a few hours, slinging ammo down range, the money spent on ammo could buy a g-body... lol... my favorite part of the NHRC is the range is outdoors, so you can shoot at pretty much anything... i usually stop at the dollar store and buy $100 worth of the crappy little $1 porcelain/clay/glass figurines.... i became a member there a few years ago, after being on the waiting list for a little over a year... but for $250 a year, $200 if you want to do 20 hours of "community service", ie, pick up the garbage, sweep the lodge, etc... $250 to be able to go shooting whenever i want, plus they have campsites (free for members), a lake for fishing, gas grills, playgrounds for the kids, and inside they have pool tables, air hockey, a full restaurant style kitchen, bathrooms, a bar... i try to go camping for my bday every year, july 3rd, and its awesome, sitting around the fire, drinking a few beers, waking up to the sound of gun shots in the morning... with what it costs to go camping nowadays, the membership pays for itself,... one of my favs is the remington 700, first shot i ever took with it was at 100yards, the scope was set up for my bro n law (who is left handed) so i kept getting the scope shaded out, but still hit less than a 1/2" of dead center... i now bring n shoot the 700 everytime i go...

NOT THE 700, BUT INSANELY FUN TO SHOOT

TRIED TO CLEAN UP THE PHOTO A LITTLE
