The roll cage isn't welded to the frame?

Lots of cool stuff here either way...
If you're putting those tubular arms on the car, what's the story with those fancy cleaned up stock arms I see in the background?
I can help you find a home for them if you like...

The engine bay bars? Those are really just for looks. I wanted it removable for when Im dropping the motor in, working in the bay or whatever. Wanna be able to yank em out to make room for whatever Im doing. This isnt a car that will be on the track or anything. Strictly cosmetic and "WOW!!" factor.. The other arms are being saved for my fiance's elco project. Shes been sitting back watching all the crews builds and is ready to enter the game soon. Thanks for checking back bro!

I got the 8" arms. Thanks for that info. I had ordered a set a few years back for my Elco when these were the hot item on the forum. Back then peeps running em hadnt reported any alignment issues, so I grabbed em again. I wont be using these for anything other than seeing how all the suspension parts look together, dialing the QA1's down and then the car goes back in storage. I'm saving for the UMI upper/lower set.. I didnt want to put the old rusted set back on a freshly coated frame with new parts/bolts and take pics. I'lll be sure to pass that info on to other friends looking to get a set..Thanks bro!!

I also ordered the Wilwood master cylinder cap in black with a "checkered" outer edge and custom engraved "#DtoxBu". Will take a few days to do the extra work on the mc cap..This is a pic of one from the website. This one has the smooth outer edge...

Hoping to have the cap before my trip out to AZ next weekend. Probably wont have it in time tho. I'll be headed back the following weekend and should have it then. Thanks for checking back!!

I was referring to the interior bars going to the floor instead of the frame, but I see what you're after.
Those nice A-arms caught my eye...
I was hoping you'd changed horses mid-stream and I could save some elbow grease! lol ;)

Yeah its mainly for looks. I was gonna do it as a removable cage just like the TIGER CAGE from Ridetech. I wanted my frame pulled later for coating so i said no to it being welded up to the frame.. Thanks for the love on hte arms bro! Preciate' that!

Thanks for checking back fellas! Cant wait to get out to Az next Saturday to start in on the frame pull. I really want to get the body high enough so we can roll the frame from under the car, tear it down, powder coat the frame, re assemble all the new parts and roll it back under the car. Gonna look for a jack that can raise the body high enough..

The prez ElcoMel sent my engine bay cage bars out for coating. They came out CLEAN! I cant wait to get the frame done...I'll be bringing these back to have the smoke effect added to the bars when I get out there to pull the frame...

He got my springs done also.

Got the UMI rear bars back for the coater. This time he just smoked over the UMI coating. Came out really nice and was cheaper since he didnt have to blast em and re coat them...

VERY happy with how its all coming along. Once the frame is pulled, some work done to it and then sent out for coating, we can start assembling the car. Thanks for checking back!

The lower control arms I had re done for this project are actually on my project 87 SS the #OGIK. Needed to use em to mock up the Kore3 BBK and caliper/rotor setup. So I had another set of lowers sitting around and decided to blast em and get em prepped and ready for the #DtoxBu. These are temps while I save for the UMI ones later. Not in a huge rush to get the UMI upper/lower set since I only see this car twice maybe 3 times a year.

;)
The UMI smoked out bars look really clean and will add some nice detail underneath for those photo opps i love...

Here I dropped the Energy bump stop and Spohn swaybar endlinks on. These arms still need the old tired bushings pressed out. I would have did it at work, but got lazy and I didnt want my boss asking a ton of questions. Just blasted em. I like to take clean parts to whatever shop is gonna do the work. This also lets me see any imperfections in the part so the coater has no excuse if the work isnt smooth and clean looking..

17099354238_1f207e4d12_b.jpg

Spohn heavy duty LCA ball joints.. I have some Prothane red boots for these and the tierods..

17287129905_d803a3ea9c_b.jpg

Added a 90 degree elbo fitting. I'll have the shop pressing em in set up ball joint so the elbo points where I want once tightened for easier access when I need to grease em up..

Spohn sway bar endlinks look clean.

I also picked up some clean DSE control arm shims. hese wont ship until may 11th tho. Been eyeballin' em for a while. Had some extra cash so I copped em..

Click pic for more info on DSE's site

Did some work on my LoTek triple pillar pod. These things NEVER fit right. I got an old pillar from a friend (Mr Hoodwrench) and cut it up to use the outer lip. Used some harbor freight epoxy amd made it happen. Came out pretty decent and works like a charm now. Hugs and fits like stock now.. Time to give it a bath and some SEM adhesion promoter. Then some SEM landau black..

17261182316_5423c3f5eb_b.jpg

Molded on lip. Did both sides. I also did the one for my elco. The El's setup came out really clean..

16667350323_35c0f644fd_b.jpg

Another little project I tried my hand at. If I like how this looks, I will send the parts out to be coated a gloss finish, and then re-do the film. The glossy, slick surface aides in helping the film adhere to the surface.. After doing the Bu's tail light cleanup, I mocked the covers up and liked how it flowed...I also have a rear license plate bucket made from stainless. It will be coated also..

Dropped the tops on after cutting the carbon fiber film. Looked clean. I need to lightly tint the tails. I have a tail light lens kit I got a while back also.

Just a few more days and I'll be back in beautiful Az and finally see the Car. Its been 6 months sice I last saw her. Cant wait! Thanks for checking back!
