Yep, Jack nailed it. It's got a ton of hours in it for sure, but that's what it took to take the fugly outta it!
Hahaha
Yes, I've got lots, give me a few mins and I'll see if I can post up some of the best ones.

Jack - Thanks for your heaps of praise as usual my friend! I thought about it after I posted, I'm not trying to steal anybody's thunder, just thought I'd throw up a quick pic to give the OP some ideas of what's possible. Jim's front bumper is kick *ss too for sure, no joke.
:)

It's all good man I wAs looking for options and that's the best option I have seen! So more than likely I will "borrow" your idea!!!

It's been narrowed about 4" overall if memory serves correctly, tucked back towards the body, end caps lengthened and recessed into the fenders, and the license tag pocket cut out and filled in with the middle pieces from another bumper. Plus removing the impact strip and filling the dozens of holes it covers.
Also narrowed the marker lights to better line up with the headlights.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... if you like what I've done, feel free to incorporate and "borrow" my ideas into your own ride. I'd be honoured. :)

Donovan my friend,
I can certainly appreciate the time you put into your bumper mods. I was thinking "wagon" when I obliviously recommended Jim's bumper mods, forgetting about all the work you did on yours. Please excuse my oversight.

When I did mine, there was obviously some cutting, adding metal, welding, grinding, etc...but not nearly as much work as you did on yours.

Larry, you have a fine example to work with and emulate.

Thank you, I appreciate it. There were 2 bumpers that donated themselves to the cause.
:)
If you're at all interested in the car, search for "The Juggernaut build thread" on here, or use the link below my signature. Lots of pics and details on pretty much every aspect of the car from engine to suspension, body mods and more.

Thank you again Jack, you're too kind. Do you have any pics of the bumpers on your wagon you could post up too?
I'd like to see what you've done with yours as I'm sure others would...

Between Donovan and I, you could get some ideas. To filled the plate pocket, lengthened the sides, I shortened the lights, added a center riser to meet the header between the grills, and used 3 bumpers total for parts, lol.

My olds clip is a 78-80. I used the Malibu bumper, the bumper I got from Blake, and a 81 Buick century bumper.

A lot of work, but worth it IMO.

TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!

When you say you shortened the lights, are you referencing the parking lights? Because I wanted to do that as well because they don't make any replacements for the 83 Cutty.

Yes sir. I did it so they are the same width as the headlights, and lined up right under them. My parking lights are flush LEDs in the sides of the bumper, and since this is a 78-80 header, I have the parking lights right by the headlights.

So, I shortened the bumper light holes to fill them with LED lights or scoops or something.
