Saggy Bottom! Help Needed

Gents,

Been a long time since I have been on the forum. Had some things comes up that needed dealing with that unfortunately precluded anything to do with cars and or hobbies. :-(

The good news though is that with all that crud behind me I can now focus on finishing my car for the season. When I last left you, car was about 90% complete. Finishing things up over the next month and I am completely confounded by one issue I seem to have.. a saggy *ss.

I am not kidding the car looks like a bloody gasser.

Installed on the car are: Non adj lower and upper rear control arms (UMI). I have purchased fully double adjustable roto joint ones to install as well as an FYI. Hotchkis tuned Bilsteins all around for shocks and SPC Performance springs 1.2" drop in front and 1" drop in rear purchased from Savitske. All parts are obviously new.

I cant figure this out. Why is my *ss end so low????? Its making me nuts as I definitely don't want the car slammed and a 1" drop should NOT look like that

I did buy UMI spring spacers just in case I needed, but really want to figure out the root cause of this.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated Gents.

• Bad rear springs. I'd contact supplier and see if they had any issues. Could be spring rate is not right.

Yeah I thought that as well initially, but unless they are defective, they are brand new and typically Mark Savitske doesn't F around when he puts together his packages.. Not entirely convinced the springs defective but I do have an email into Mark.

Welcome back.....I like the height of the back and I think the front should have dropped more with a 1.5" drop. Are you sure the front springs are sitting in the right spot in the lowers?

Appreciate the perspective, I think you may be right, perhaps it is the front that is off and not the rear, meaning the front is sitting too high. I just didnt expect a 1" drop to look like that from stock ride height.. almost seems as though the back is lower than that.

As far as I know I believe the fronts are sitting in the right spots. I will doubly verify this in the next week or so.

I also like your ride height in the rear and personally wouldn't change it. You have the same issue I do after swapping a heavy iron block / iron head Oldsmobile engine for an all aluminum LS. I need to lower the front end a bit but haven't decided how to do it quite yet. Maybe adjustable coil overs....Have you looked into them?

Thanks a lot Steve, really means a lot. Its definitely been a labour of love. The headaches were well worth it.
