Just thought I would reintroduce myself here again. I used to be a member here years ago but haven't been active in years so my account was purged and I had to resign up again. The last time I was a member here I had a 1978 Malibu with a 468 BBC & a TH-400. The car was a blast until I broke the rear end and for whatever reason I decided to sell it rather than fix it, sadly I didn't need to but sold it out of a fit of frustration. Well that was a decision that I would come to regret for years. I then bought an 87 GN and kept that car for about 8 years and sold it a few years ago. In the moments that I didn't own a G Body I had a couple F-Bodies and numerous Foxbody Mustangs, a 2001 Mustang and eventually a 2013 Shelby GT500.

I work on and build all types of cars for people that want to go fast but more recently I've found myself working on a ton of 2011+ Mustangs and have built a bunch of 9 & 10 sec cars for people. I still own a 93 Foxbody (hatch) with a twin turbo SBF that runs bottom 9's. I also bought another 93 Foxbody (notch) a few years ago to build into a 10sec daily driven v6 (from a 2014 Mustang) but that project snowballed into a twin turbo 1600+hp Coyote swap.

Well remember the part where I said I've regretted selling my 78 Malibu?? Well now I want to do something way out in left field and I'm sure I will catch a ton of $hit from a lot of people but.... I want to put the twin turbo Coyote engine that was intended for my Foxbody into a G-Body of some sort... I have a virtually brand new (380 mile) Coyote out of a wrecked 2016 Mustang GT with a 6R80 trans that I would like to put into the G Body. I've built a ton of Coyote's for other people and have seen what they can do and I think I'm ready to swap one into a G Body because I don't think it has ever been done before.

I do all types of fab work, plumbing and electrical wiring in anything from daily drivers to all out race cars to Trophy trucks that compete in Baja and every other off road race to UTV's and as of recently very large * expensive boats so the very large majority of the build will be done by me. I also build complete fuel systems for Buick's along with a lot of CNC parts for Buick's and various other cars too from fuel pump block off plates, trans brake switches, exhaust flanges with internal wastegate pucks, fuel pumps/senders, fuel line kits (teflon lines with crimped ends, I have an XRP crimping machine along with an Eaton Weatherhead machine so there's not many fittings that I can't crimp), shifter handles, various block off plates, custom one off parts, CNC exhaust tips for several different model UTV's/SxS's, production run exhaust & down pipes as needed. There's not much I can't do, except paint & body which I have no desire to do.

If anyone knows of a good, clean, straight & rust free roller anywhere near the Phoenix area or surrounding states feel free to reach out to me either in this thread or thru pm.

Welcome back to the forum. Sounds like you're ready to build a stout G Body. I'm pretty sure I've never heard of anyone swapping a Coyote into a G Body. It would definitely be unique. Hopefully you can find a good roller to start your build with soon.

What are your plans for the rest of the car? Is it gonna be a drag car or do you have a different theme in mind?

My thoughts exactly! I've seen a couple Ford's in Chevy's and millions of Chevy's in Ford's, a ton of Coyote's in Fords but never a Coyote in a Chevy.

So my plans for the rest of the car are to carry over from what the intended plan was for the Foxbody Coyote swap, 16-1700hp, twin turbo, 6R80 trans, full creature comforts and power everything, brakes, windows, steering and best of all, A/C all while shooting for a potential upper 7sec ET while maintaining full street & drivability. I have decided to do a 10pt cage that will be 25.x upgradeable should I ever decide to go that direction with the car. My current TT Foxbody is super streetable, fun to drive, has power windows & mirrors manual brakes & steering, which isn't an issue, but no A/C. I just want something that is different that what everyone else has or is doing. Granted the car will not be all that different but the drivetrain that's in it certainly will be ;)

Any know of any clean & reasonable G Bodies in the west coast? Not too terribly worried about the paint being perfect, although it's a bonus if it is. I just want something that is rust free and has good bones to start with.

You should use a Malibu or Monte SS just to anger purest crowd I love that when I put the 72 W-30 motor and 70 Chevelle m-21 in my Cutlass one of my brothers friends just about blew a gasket lol

Meh, I have a buddy that has a GN, just need to put a deal together to get it. I'm in the process of possibly getting another Foxbody tonight so I may have a little bargaining power with him to get it... Ultimately I'd love to have a Malibu to replace the one I sold but I'm fine with whatever comes along
