Helpful tip on chassis/body removal

It's no secret that you can use 4x4 posts and cement blocks to get the body up off the chassis. Lots of guys here have done it or are doing it. I could not get my body rear high enough to roll the chassis out so I used rims with no tires and also removed the rear shocks and coil springs. A floor jack and some big blocks of wood or just a cement block will jack up the body just fine. I have a bad back and did not strain at all. On my other SS, I used 2 wheel dollys. One under engine cradle and one under rear axle center section. I could have got the body higher doing more blocks but the heavy angle doing one end at a time was getting pretty scary

I got to give all you guys credit I only ever took a body off with a lift all tho I used a pritty sketchy technique to do a utility body in my backyard

the gas can sitting on the A/C condenser on the frame was actually running the truck lol those are dataliner frame machine stands boat stands work good to they screw up and down so you can come up without the hard angle and there tall

I used floor and bottle jacks to get it real high.

i was thinking of using my engine hoist to lift the front of the car then block in and move to the back. anyone try that?

That's how I got my truck body off the trailer and how I got a jack under it when it was on the ground

but I used my tractor on the other end the engine hoist actually worked better. I think your idea will work just go a little at a time so it don't fall
