I've decided on a direction with my Caballero. My first thought was a Choo-Choo like SS tribute,but now Im thinking of doing a Diablo reboot. The ride is black,Im going to switch to red guts. My all time favorite color combo...Then I will work on a new twist for the Diablo look.

It's going to require drilling new holes and getting the proper mirror gaskets....they're angled to fit the El Camino/ Malibu bodyline.

'86-'87 El Caminos/Caballeros doors used those mirrors, look for a good used set or new repops.

Not sure what you are referring to...Ive seen them on other ElCo's ?

Yes, I've seen them on '86 and later Elkys, but if your car came with the old style sport mirrors, they're positioned differently than the '86+ mirrors. They're actually mounted a little higher. Do a comparison...you'll see what I'm talking about.
Trust me, I was going to put a set of them on my Malibu. I would've had to redrill the holes to mount the later mirrors.
