Well thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! Some more photos of the progress-

Here is the replacement bed I bought out of Texas. It's not perfect, but a lot better than the one I had.

I seam sealed inside the cab and underneath and painted over with SEM Rust Trap. I also painted the frame with Rust Trap. The Rust Trap is a new product from SEM, its comparable to POR15. I was kinda sloppy underneath with the prep and seam sealing, but working upside down is hard and messy and I'm trying not to be a perfectionist on this truck. I'll probably topcoat the underside with U-Pol Gravitex or something similar to hide some of the ugly stuff.

I also ran new fuel and brake lines, as well as replaced the e-brake cables. I made the fuel and brake lines out of steel tubing, I'm still to cheap to buy the cunifer ones. They are hard to see but they are there. The front e-brake cable is an OEM motorcraft one (only place I could find it) but the intermediate cable is from Dorman.

I topcoated the floor inside with U-Pol Gravitex and I'm really happy with the result. I love how this stuff looks.

I also painted both gas tanks, which were actually in pretty good shape, I painted the rear tank with POR15 and the front one with SEM Rust Trap, so we'll see which holds up better.

I think I will be able to paint the exterior of the cab tomorrow, so stay tuned for more!

I got the cab painted today. Everything behind the doors was completely repainted. I blended the teal color into the doors, and then clear coated over everything so there are no tape lines. My phone died before I started clearing, so I'll have to get some photos of that tomorrow. Paint I used is PPG Shopline JB for the Teal and PPG Deltron DBU for the white. Clear is Transtar Kwik Gloss 6841.

Thanks for all the comments and encouragement, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who is enjoying seeing this thing come together!

Here are some pictures of the clear coated finish on the cab. It's got a couple runs in it, but I'm very happy with it.

You may also notice that I reinstalled the rear window, and my emergency brake cables are fully hooked up now. My gas tank straps and new fuel pump for the rear tank came today, so the fuel tanks will likely be reinstalled tomorrow. More to come!

Those are not runs. They are factory sags.
