these are a nice addition to keep the wheel cylinder from moving to give you more rear braking..

Make sure you use a good quality tap for the threads or you'll end up like me with a busted tap in the axle flange. :( (Yes, I did use cutting oil but it still busted.)

If you're concerned about braking, don't forget to add good tires to your list.
For what it's worth, I had my Blazer brakes installed for my first track day this last spring at Gingerman raceway. With cheap rotors from Amazon, "commercial duty" Wagner pads from Rock Auto, and 255 width racing tires I had pretty good stopping power lap after lap. Granted my car didn't have the beans to get much faster than 94mph, but in the braking zones I was consistently gaining ground on my buddy's '06 Mustang GT. His GT has bigger brakes and Hawk pads, but his tires were very worn out.

If all you're doing is "spirited driving" then I don't think you'll be disappointed with Blazer brakes. Especially if you use good components and decent front tires. Clamping force doesn't mean much if you're just locking the front tires into a skid!

If youre going to upgrade to the vette stuff, skip the blazer knuckle, you can put the vette stuff on a stock spindle.

UMI sells the parts to do it.

If youre going to upgrade to the vette stuff, skip the blazer knuckle, you can put the vette stuff on a stock spindle.

UMI sells the parts to do it.

I've done it both ways, and its faster/less work for me go to the junkyard and pick up a pair of Blazer spindles for $40, than hack, drill and tap stock spindles... and no more old school packing wheel bearings.

Thats understandable, I did it with a pretty chinsy drill press though so its not like you need to be a master machinist and have great equipment.

Also it saves you from having to buy the sealed hubs.

Another vote for the Blazer front brakes with the S10 rear cylinders and the brackets. Made a noticeable difference in braking, plus it's all GM components.
