I'm a video editor / producer mainly in the corporate communications world. I'm currently between jobs as the company I was with for 25 years decided to outsource our services to London last April. Since then I've been working as a contractor (freelancer) back to them on special projects that would have fallen through the cracks if sent to London. The pay is actually better since I can name my own hourly rate. But the security is not there since I really don't know when the next project will come. Luckily I have health benefits through my wife's company.

Wow, another former CPS guy. Worked for them for 5 years, hauled waay too many bags of corn seed to count..... Always amazed at how many chems are sprayed on food, a real eye opener for me. Left when they cut my hours and Went back to manufacturing, now production manager for a beverage plant where we make "fermented apple juice products" .......Run about 250K bottles on an average day, plus cans and kegs. Keeps me busy.

First job was a parts counter guy at a small auto parts chain. Then Army for a few years. Ford dealership for 12 years. Left as the service manager. Then service manager at a True Value that fixed small engines and sold Husqvarna equipment for 10 years. Now at a stainless steel and plastics fabrication shop and glad I don't have to deal with the public anymore Hahahaha. Small place, only 14 employee's total. Love my job and wish I had found it decades ago...

There is a lot of chemicals that go on crops. Dad was an organic farmer, well if you call what he did farming. CPS only cares about the share holders, employees can go to hell. Our prices weren't competitive either. Coop is a better company to work for.

Pretty cool. Been there a few times, sucks though, knowing I'll never see it completed

Caught a night blast back in 2001, good times!

I always tell people that ask about Rushmore and Crazy Horse to see Rushmore first, it pales in comparison to the scale of Crazy Horse

I drove up by Rushmore just because I was up that way, it was different than what I expected. I guess that's what happens when you only know something from a TV image. Been to Crazy Horse a few times, pretty cool that I got to back my truck all the way out to the edge and do some work. The scale of rock they still need to move is unbelievable.
