It was awesome!
I was there with my buddy and his 1969 Camaro in the RVW class. We lost to Mark Micke in his Malibu in the Semifinals. He went 3.74 to our 3.78. It was one of the fastest side by side RVW ever!

Clarmo , That's a nice car I like the Iraqi Taxi two tone and the HD colors. Nothing like a wheels up Malibu. Is that a 79 or 80, what's the running gear?

Thanks Michmalibuman, Its a 1980 with 79 tail lights (I had them and they were in much nicer shape) and a factory 4spd manual car.
I got the car from my buddy's dad in high school who bought the car new.
I originally built the car with an LS6 Big Block 27 years ago and drove/raced it on the street.
Now My son is racing it. It has a SBC 383, 13:1, Now on alcohol. Abruzzi TH400 & spragless 5000 stall, 12 bolt (going 9" this spring, Destroyed the rear gear late summer last year.)
The car weighs 2950lbs with no driver. We have it running low 6.50's now.

Your car looks pretty sweet too. Any more pics of it?

We are going back to SGMP on Feb. 15-18 for Duck X's Lights Out #9 with the Radial car.
You ever go to that race???
