Last week I changed my starter and today I took advantage of the nice weather (record of about 80 degrees today. Been warm and dry all Winter. Bad thing is we are in a drought and might have wildfire problems this Summer like 2011. Not good....) and changed my oil and cleaned and waxed the car.

I wish we had 80 degrees days here.

Removed the core support on my 79 regal which had never been removed. Took a little persuasion from the sawsall and air chisel...

It was a super wet, rainy, and snowy day. I found myself chasing a miss that I tracked down to the #6 plug wire that torched itself on the header tube.

The spare parts cabinet offered up a spare boot and a terminal and I was quickly back in business. I even found my MSD specific crimp tool.

While I was at it, I tweaked the adjustment on the trans kickdown solenoid for the Turbo 400.

Went 7 for 10 on my body mount bolts. Not bad for an 82 in the Midwest. Fortunately they are all in the trunk .
Put the posi rear end in so I can put some wheels on it. I’m sure the core support bushings will be trashed. I removed what was left of the brake, fuel and emission lines. This thing has really mushroomed...timo22

Nothing today. Flogged the piss out of the roached motor yesterday. It thanked me by catching some wires on fire after I parked it. I noticed some smoke coming out from under the hood as I was closing the shop door. Lucky catch. I had thought about burning this thing to the ground......can it read my thoughts?!?

Removed my Dash, pulled out the aftermarket Alarm and Kenwood deck Circ 1994! The Dashcap came with the car and the PO ordered up the complete wrong color. Luckily for me Gbodyparts.com had the correct color paint and I repainted the dash the correct color. 1 can did it. I'm really pleased with how the cap came out, the ones I've seen in the past looked awful. But with a lot of clamps and a little sanding and trimming this install came out well. Hopefully it'll look good when it's in the car.

Next nice day I am going to install my modified ZZ4 PROM chip into the ECM. Also ordered a heated O2 sensor upgrade harness to install this spring.

Jack up the body so you can get the body mount out then hit what is left of the broken bolt with PB Blaster

Then use a stud remover like this they work awesome !!!
