So some of you may know me from a couple of other sites. I've been around g-bodies since my dad ordered a brand new '78 Regal. I've owned three myself, and that includes my current one. Randomly, they were all '78 Malibu two doors. Yes I love the body style, just happened they were all '78's. So I'm knee deep in the resto of my current car. Lots of back story. Bought it from a Chevy dealer in Savannah GA while stationed down there in '94. It was to replace my current ride at the time, another 78 Malibu LOL. It had the typical NY rust and wasn't long for the world. I'll try to post pics of it before and during my resto. I have them on another site but don't want to go back and update the photo bucket links

So here she is in her current state

And my new 18x9.5" wheels with 275/35/18 rubber for all four corners of the car. I have not tried them on the front yet, but others have run the same exact wheel and had no issues so i dont expect any.

What I'm currently working on.... Couple engine upgrades while I don't have to lean over the fender to do it. Yes, my engine is purple. Ive had Chevy orange, just doesnt fit the g body IMO, had corporate blue (yuck), black, and even fire engine red. Wanted something different... These are Vortec heads I scored for free. Had to take the whole engine which had a broken rod. Cleaned the heads, swapped to LS6 springs and Comp retainers and we're ready to go!

The progress is looking good, me likes the coilover setup! I might splurge for that one day, but I've got bigger fish to fry trying to get my current drivetrain and assembly together.

Thanks! I always wanted coil overs. Makes setting ride height sooo much easier. Want to change engines to an LS, simply reset your ride height in 10 minutes. I finally just had to say screw it and spend the $ to get the parts I always wanted. Only thing left to order is the front musclebar from them.... took awhile to pay off the stuff I did buy LOL
