Shouldn't need any tach adapters. You were pulling the signal ofc the box, and not the coil, right?

Yes I was, tach wire on the box. Not buying a $150 tach to work with this box. I bought the ignitor 3 module, I like it. Quicker starting and a built in rev limiter.I like the green with the dog bowls.

I wondering the same thing, maybe picked the wrong, rev limiter is set at 5500. I have been having issues with rocker arms backing off, driver's side was pretty good and passenger side OK except #2. It actually idled OK at this.was the engine over-rev'd?
Yep. The guide plate broke one side along with the pushrod on that side. I fished it out, twisted and no end. I will pull the intake and hope just the lifter died. I am hoping for the best and expecting the worst. I dug out the 424 ci stroker parts and was ready to sell them. They were nicer than I remembered and the 403 block is going to the machine shop, early next spring. I am planning on a roller cam, no girdle, since it has light pistons and aftermarket rods with 5000 RPM max. I was planning on these current heads, which were perfect. The #2 valves, seats and guides will get close scrutiny when swapping roller springs. If I can get similar number to mild 9 to 1 422ci stroker, shooting for 9.25 to 1. I will be happy as hell with 400+ hp and 500+ ft/lbs of torque.Sumbich!!!
