Does anyone know how to replace the light bulb for the emergency brake light (red) on dash? I always use the brake on inclines and now after almost 21 years of ownership the light no longer works. Anyone?

Does it need to be reached from under dash (which seems impossible) or does the front panel trim come off somehow?

The front bezel 'pops' off and then the cluster needs to be removed. The cluster is held in place by a few screws that are around the perimeter. The cluster can then be moved forward just enough to replace the defective bulbs.

I was hoping it would be something like that. When I pop the front bezel off - do those metal clips stay put or fly off? Because I am assuming the bezel is the same design with clips like the radio bezel which I have removed in past. Thanks for your help my friend : )

When you get the cluster out you may want to clean all the contact points and consider changing all the bulbs so you won't have to remove the cluster again

Sounds like a plan. Are these the same type bulbs that have been around forever in dash boards back to the 60's?
