I was just directed to this thread and I'm flattered! :giggle: (thread resurrection alert) Glad you like the pedal setup Wageslave!

I have a set of original IROC's if you are near MD that I wouldn't mind turning into parts money. You'll need spacers for the rear though.

Unfortunately the rust bug got to the El Camino bad enough that it wasn't safe to drive anymore. I still have the setup squirreled away in case my Pontiac's transmission lets go, but in the time that it was still on the road I put about 12,000 miles on it and it worked flawlessly. The only thing that I did notice after installing it is the brake pedal required slightly more travel before the brakes would engage. It was only a slight difference, and the pedal feel was otherwise unaffected.

Still worth every penny and more.

Oh yeah, you have a badass Monte BTW.

The full size truck trans (MG5) shifter is about 5 or so inches more forward than the S-10 trans (M50). Between this and the tall shift tower, you may be close on clearing the dash.

If you can give me a measurement from the tailshaft to the shifter, I can give you a more exact number.

With Blazer brakes, the Rears should work in front and Fronts can go in back. Might need a shim spacer in front and the Outer tie rod might need a little rounding, but 3rd gen rears fit pretty good in front with larger brakes that space the wheels out 3/8"

Tailshaft to center of shifter—-19”...
I measure 7.5" from tailshaft to center of shifter in neutral. It also measures about 23.5" from bellhousing flange back to the center line of the shifter.

Hope this helps.
