I just read about that today, shame none of my TH200 could of held up for half the power.

They are still consumables in a racing application.

The funny misconception is that most new transmission variants are junk out of the gate. The 200-4R got a bad rap until the Turbo Buicks came along, early 4L80s had issues too. And then just about anything with a poorly adjusted TV cable is destined to suck in people's minds. Vocal minorities will do that for a legacy of misinformation.

Hell even the factory programming in my wife's 2015 Colorado's 6L50 was so bad there is a TSB. I just reprogrammed it to act more like a Camaro.

That 'vette hauls *ss. Pretty impressive speeds, I must say. It seems to go faster every run.
What's also impressive is the spread between the Corvette and these exotic super cars.

That airport is 6,000 ft above sea level so only boosted supercars would be fast. A NA Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo would be embarrassing. The 1/2 tracked cars might be NA.

The speeds at this event are nuts. The record is 255 mph by a Nissan GTR.

the Nissan had 3,000 hp but I am still more impressed with the 67 Stingray

We all know the 2004R is good for a mild performance motor with minor upgrades, it really has perfect ratios. I am surprised any big power can go through a TH200, they are so spindily looking, such a small case. Both need major hard parts upgrades for big power, unless every tenth counts, building a TH200 is a waste of dollars. The .67 OD makes the 2004R much more attractive than either the TH200 or TH350.

The th200, TH200c, th3254L and th325 share a bunch of internals with the th2004r. I'm not saying one would want to try to put north of 500hp through front drive but if that chain could handle it it is the way my son is headed with his Fiero(I think mostly to get an OD).

Good stuff. I'm not a corvette guy but that one is real nifty because he did it with his sons. And I saw a flag girl in a black suit, is this the one referred to above or is there one I missed?

I do luv me sum 1320video

TexasT on the G-body forum!! Never seen you here - nice to see another 200-4R believer in the room.

My favorite 200-4R 500 miles from home :

Old307 and 403 ^^ that's pretty mild :) 500hp? Turned up since then, maybe times 1.5 to 2.
