Can anyone tell me where this goes ? Its not for the heat/AC control. The car has a sweep style cluster. I have the one for the wiper control in place. Just cant ID this one.

Goes into the back of the cluster, in the hole that opens to the CEL (Right side, left of signal indicator, as I recall)...and you're not really asking about logic with the OE engineers, are you??!!:doh:

Okay, but whats the CEL ? And if you look at the two photos the back of the cluster is shown in both. It looks like theres only two holes on that side so it must be one of those right ? The question is which one ?

CEL Check Engine Lamp

I think it's one of the open holes that the PCB doesn't encircle. It's been a while since I had mine out. I suggest a strong flashlight shone upon the front of the cluster, should let you see what's screened on the lens behind the mask.

I'll go back outside and flip the dash over so I can check it out with a flashlight. Thanks so much for the fast reply !!! I'll update the post later if/when I get it back together.

Since it's out, you can shine the lamp in the open holes and read the front side:banana:

Okay Brian, one problem fixed but another one took its place that might be worse. Im assuming this was some kind of setup for the Autometer volt gauge but I have no idea why the guy ran it like this.
He cut the wire, hooked up the other wires to the ends and ran it to the gauge. Im not sure if this is the right way to do this. Not the way Autometer instructions have their gauge wired. I cut the tape open on the harness back about 9" until I found a taped OEM junction with 6 or 7 orange wires coming into and going out of it. I redid a bunch of these under the hood of the wagon so I really dont want to repeat this on the coupe since it was a pain in the butt. The wire at the bulkhead connector is now too short to fix. It goes to a triple set up at the fuse block. One side of the 20 amp fuse, an accessory plug and the ignition plug. The orange wire feeds all 3 spots. I could solder a piece in but my plan is to run out to the local yard and try to pull the whole thing out of the fuse block, take mine apart and solder the joint together further up on the harness.
Have you ever seen anything done like this with the wire cut for a volt gauge ?
