Would I be better off buying a brand new carb? Is it worth rebuilding the qjet?
You'd spend more on a new holley or edelbrock, and rip your hair out trying to fix the mistakes the reman companies make if you bought a "new" qjet off summit or jegs or the parts store. I've gotten 2 carbs from Everyday Performance, both were the sh*t. Runs like fuel injection, isn't even 100% dialed yet.
It may sound like we're trying to corner you into this, but our advice comes from experience, it's well worth it.

I waffled between getting a custom tune on my 78 403 Qjet and buying a new 750 Street Demon. Buy the time I bought the TV bracket and tuning kit, which I would need to tune it to my car would actually cost about 200 dollars more. I had issues with my choke bending the rod two years after the custom tune. Ken sent me the rods and links free of charge the first time, above and beyond.

Wow. Thanks everybody for the advice, I will get this jet rebuilt and throw it on my 403. I just wanted to make sure I was making the correct decision before throwing money away towards a head ache.

Can you take a picture of the linkage from the side? You need to make sure it has the proper linkage for your 2004R trans, looks different from the pic. Everyday sells the proper Qjet TV cable bracket as well.

That's all the pics I have right now. I have a 600 edelbrock on my motor right now. Might be able to use parts off it?

if you have a square bore intake you will now need a spread bore for the Qjet

Looks like you have an adapter plate though for the edelbrock to fit

If you send it to Everyday Performance just tell him exactly what you have engine and trans wise he will make it work correctly
