Honestly I am not sure, I stopped going to Starlite when they got rid of the upper lot

That was the problem, once they got rid of the upper lot the whole car cruise went to sh*t. When they still had the upper lot I was going every week, it was so much fun. I went every week for the first year they got rid of the upper lot, but after that, I started going intermittently and then stopped going altogether.

We have the Golden Cruise on the first Saturday of the month May-October. The Monte is in pieces, the late model mildly modified Challenger gets to go. I'm not the guy who parks the late model out front. I put a couple of 60's cues on it (pentastar on right fender only and fratzog with red pinstripe on my cop car wheel hubcaps). Most car people get that I'm a car guy. it's more fun going to a car event with at least something enthusiast oriented vs showing up in a minivan. I do miss the old days (Rte 231 on Long Island) where it was just a bunch of people who showed up and not really an "event".

I didn't go a whole lot in the first place because the traffic from Green Tree to there on Friday was something terrible but would make the venture quite a few times to barely be able to park in the grass. Which was great because to me it was worth it to see such a large turnout, even if I had to deal with bumper to bumper traffic even using the backroads. I missed out on most of the car shows this year, the one I used to really go to regularly was Cars N Coffee because you get a pretty big variety of stuff up there with no traffic issues since its a Saturday morning. Now that I do security and most times am up until close to 330 or so its a little rough to get back at it after 4 hours car show or not.

Yeah from Green Tree would be a trek. I'm on the North Side/North Hills, so traffic was never much of an issue for me. I would always park in the top lot right by the exit so I could see all the cars as everyone left. Cars and coffee was never my thing, I went to it once, but there was too much new stuff and too many exotics for me to be interested.

Ok guys okay guys I just read this entire thread and you all make valid points including myself. However all I have to say is the square body crew won a trophy last July for a People's Choice Award and my little Lauren was ecstatic when I sent her on stage to get that trophy.
By the way that show is once a year and it's a benefit but I don't know what benefits.
