Many of you have probably already replaced your starters with something smaller than the stocker. I just wanted to point out the Corvette starter I purchased on ebay and installed on my car about three years ago -- works great! It's much easier to install than a stocker, looks good and sounds good when engaged.

You also need to purchase this $4 mounting bolt:

I thought I'd put a list of parts I purchased for my TRs here on the TR forum. Maybe some TR owners are looking for some of these replacement parts now or in the future and you can get some feedback here.

Last August (2017) I installed a David Husek 2700 to 3000 stall lock up converter and a Precision 6262 turbo

I just got a super deal, w/ 15% coupon, on this 3 row aluminum radiator for $104...

A gorgeous billet belt tensioner for $150 back in March.

New Evaporator ($50) and Delco Compressor ($166) for my 86 turbobuick drivetrain El Camino. Sorry, there are no, zero, nada, evaporators available for Turbo Buicks.

Another set of these LED headlights for my hi-beam position on my GN ....

Why is that radiator link for an 1100 dollar one? Got the invoice or part number from the one you got specifically? And was the starter you used the lt1 starter? Or something else?

They changed the price on that link, probably because they don't have any. Here's what looks like the same radiator: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=173621279967

As for the starter, that is the correct description and link for it. Fits 3.8 litre Buick engine. I've been running one on my GN for 2 years now. The smaller starter is much easier to install than a stocker.

Are they the radiators the same height or is it the camera playing tricks?

Yes they are the same height. Here it sits in place before installation was complete:
