I used them when I put the LS1 fronts on the wagon. I also ordered their braided brake hoses set. Did I have to lean on them for updates and responses? Yes. Did I get everything and was it good quality? Yes. Did I have to make some modifications to suit my individual application? Yes.

The biggest one was swapping the supplied screw-in wheel studs to longer units from Strange. Not an issue if you are running stamped steel wheels - but who does that with performance brakes?

I personally just had a set of stock rotors turned down to make hubs

Well, yeah. I did that once and it cost me more than the ones I got from flynbye, and that was without the new studs and bearing races flynbye provides. It's great if you have some friend who can do it for you.

I have no issue spending the money for quality. I will be spending a lot of time and money on my project and want to get the best I can. I am leary about modifying on 30 some odd year old parts. If i can find something that bolts on that is made well I will probably go that way just to save some time.

Well, certainly then, if price is not a consideration, it appears UMI offers brand new hubs.

The easiest way to do big brakes for gbody is 98-05 s10 blazer spindles 2wd and hubs, c5/c6 brake 13inch rotors,c5/c6brake calipers with brackets. Then go on ebay and look up lt4xteme and get his conversion brakes brackets.so the calipers mount up. Also will need longer studs then factory.

I wouldn't exactly call Blazer brakes big brakes. The 11" rotors are only 1/4" larger in radius then the stock 10.5" brakes. However they are a good option for those who want 15" wheels as the stock metric calipers just plain suck. The Blazer calipers are much better and you do get a rotor that's a little bigger.
'98 to '02 Camaro brakes give you 12" rotors and really nice calipers but do require 16" wheels.

My how to thread outlines it pretty well also.

https://gbodyforum.com/threads/ls1-front-brakes-on-g-body-spindle.69674/

If you go to blazer spindles and hubs you gain the ability to do a full bolt on with no spindle mods, but you end up with the sealed bearing which has so/so reliability and cost vs. the roller taper pair from the factory.

Other shops make the brackets if you don't want to make them yourself. They do have the steel hubs vs. cutting a factory rotor down which can be nice and flynbye has them cheaper than the wilwood ones.

Issue is flynbye has the cheapest parts with reports of the most lackluster customer service.
