I also use my old bmx bicycle 3 piece crank for years. I still use it for seals

The star pattern is perfectly symmetrical and flat

Just curious, John.
How you're able to use the old bicycle crank set in that capacity?. I'm always open to various methods.

Since I had access to a lath I made all my own as needed. Even made a cam bearing installer and various piston loaders.

I kinda thought the same thing. If I had access to a lathe it wouldn't be a problem. I'd simply make my own drivers.

My shop press is littered with old races and suspension parts to get the job done. Not made of money...

Same here, Mike.
I'm looking for an effective, low cost solution. During my further inspection I was looking at professional kits with more variety in sizes. o_O Many of the low cost kits don't include some of the sizes that are needed...but @$300-$400., I don't think so.
