A few days ago I broke my ignition switch and I'm really trying to do the least and trying to install a ignition switch to just turn on the electricity like my gauges and maybe a radio I've been down on my Montes rusty floor pans for hours trying to figure out what wires go where to turn everything on properly but I'm having absolutely no luck I must not be Irish lol if anyone could drop some me some clues on what to do that'd be greatly appreciated

A: It doesn't look like an ignition switch connector to me. Anti-theft??
B: You have to get rid of the scotch lock connectors

I pulled the blue connector out of the steering column along with the small black one the same size I saw the red/purple/pink wires and started going at it there. Are the scotch lock connectors the yellow blocks attached to the wires?

Maybe not a good angle for me to see. Yes those are the scotch locks. Have you tried another ignition switch and just plugging it in to see what you have?

The photo I posted was a bad angle heres the two connectors I pulled out of the top steering column and no I haven't had the chance to go buy a switch from auto zone I was hoping the ones already installed in my car by the previous owner would work lol

Scotchloks are the devil's invention, thus evil, very evil. When you remove them, solder the joint location because it probably cut some conductors. If you want to retain the tap:
-strip 3/4" to an inch of insulation completely off the target wire (factory harness)
-strip about 1- 1 1/4" off the tap wire and twist it together (remote module wiring)
-split the target wire's conductors with an awl, test light, pick, or knife
-insert the tap wire in the hole you just created in the target wire
=pinch the target wire hole shut
-wrap the tap wire around the exposed section
-solder and tape (3M Super 33 or 88)

To answer your question: pink is ignition (gauges) and orange and brown are accessory (radio).

I just did my ignition switch....unbolt the steering column, let it drop down and do the switch from the top instead of up from bottom.

Why install a secondary switch that can cause other issues and potentially be a safety problem?
