I think the blocks look tacky also. I keep thinking about it and it bothers me. It is not even my house. I was wondering if you could build a privacy fence and lag it to the blocks? Might be a neat look?

That's not a bad suggestion at all.

I think aside from the sheer size of it, its the multicolored blocks that stand out to me. I've pretty much decided to try painting it dirt color with possibly some lighter or darker random shading. I'll get a little landscaping done and see how it looks. If I still can't live with it I may get creative using some of the suggestions you guys have given me. They are appreciated.

One other thing I need to find a solution for is to make it more obvious that the only sidewalk is leading to the front door. I get packages left on my back patio (down a steep hill with no path) presumably because drivers can't figure out where the front door is. I've also met neighbors who had come by earlier and claimed they didn't know where to go either. Seems simple enough to me but apparently it's not.

Paint a tunnel on it with a road runner in it, see if any coyotes bounce off it

I finally fired up the new/old table saw and started carving up some additional closet shelving because...wife shoes.

That dinosaur did a pretty good job but I need to grind a weld down on my fence so it doesn't try to c*ck the material part way through a cut. It's technically supposed to run 8" blades but I've got a 10" in there and the motor seems to have plenty of power to spin it.

This morning my builder brought by my 4th front door. Yes, I said 4th. Each one different from the previous.

****! I hope so. We'll see if the installer can make it fit better than the last one. You could throw a dead cat through the gap in it. The frustrating thing is that I was in the door business for several years and set up and ran 2 shops. I actually know what I'm complaining about.
