I hope he used band clamps (this one time, at band clamp...) around the mufflers. It appears totally welded, unless my eyes are mindf*cking me. Because if you EVER need to disassemble something, it's always a PITA to cut out exhaust. But then again, you'd cut up the frame to install headers, so I know you're not afraid of that... I'm obviously guessing, but it looks like you're at about 14"-16" length on the muffler bodies. Nice choice.

Looks great, though! Probably sounds as good as it looks. I'm not a Malibu man, but your car could change my mind. :)

This is such the beauty of being able to modify your car to your own tastes. I think (so far) your build is so captivating to many because it's simple yet effective, no apparent overkill, excellent color matching/blending, and the most important part of it- you're digging it. The subtleness of the wheel/tire combo, and tight lines of the car blend well and like a lot of other builds on here, looks great when finished. Using the term "finished" loosely.

I've got a much easier job in front of me, parts choice-wise. Since I'm wanting to do a rock stock factory-style resto, I'm locked into the parts I can select.

Keep it going. When you getting the LSX?

Is that all custom built? Damn nice!!!!
Happen to grab some wifi. Yes, all custom built stainless steel. Better be for what it cost! LOL haven't even heard it yet unfortunately. He was finishing it up when I stopped by to pay him before I went out of town... Guessing it will be next weekend before I get to hear it. 😣

Thank you for the kind words! The wife and I are planning on tearing our house down this year and rebuilding so it will be a couple years before I can swing any major expenses on it unfortunately...

So the weather has sucked, I've been out of town for work, now I'm in Daytona for the Rolex 24hr race and I still haven't heard the car yet! My awesome wife shoveled the driveway at my parents house so the car could be delivered back and sit for the rest of the winter. First time I've heard it and she even said the video doesn't do the sound any justice. But it's all I have at the moment.

Just 2.5" I've only got just shy of 400hp, don't need any more than that
