Depending on how young your kids are? Car seats do not work very good with a unworn out rear seat in a Monte. If you only have one kid? The center works the best for a car seat. That is why I want a wagon or four door Gbody for a daily driver.
Yea I have 1 3 year old for now I'm 28 so more shall come hahah .I have him in back of my 69 nova on the weekends. And in the daily 83 elco on weekdays if I need take him with me .I just feel bad when he falls asleep in the elco qdd the sun visors sint cover him

This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
I have NEVER owned a more enjoyable car, and I’ve owned quite a few different muscle cars over the years.
That being said, you MUST learn how to tune these cars and work on them with much patience.
Many don’t like the finicky nature of them and give up.
If your going to purchase one I highly recommend doing you research prior to make sure the car is/has a good foundation to build on.
Do a compression check, cooling system check. A stock unmolested TR is what to look for. Although that’s a rarity.
If you find one with mods do your homework, chances are it’s be beaten on. Again, not necessarily a bad thing provided the owner is a good tuner.
These cars are still to this day very quick with mods and will break my hearts
My Ltd is a prime example of a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”
Cushy bench seat, loaded with power moonroof, AC, ect....
Pretty much anyone who’s had a ride in it is completely shocked with with the power it makes.
The look on the they’re face at 26 psi and alky is priceless.
The car runs low 11’s in the 1/4 and the motor is stock un ported heads.
All that being said, it’s accompanied with 22-25 mpg if driven civil. Easier said than done lol

Agreed. Plus, there are certain mechanical and operating sounds that are unique to these cars which adds an unmatched visceral ownership experience. That being said the rising operating costs and the factory analog/digital hybrid electrics require a keen eye and a lot of discipline to keep right. Hence why folks keep replacing systems, not repairing them.

Turbo Buick's suck. They aren't worth anything. Get something better like a 5.0 fox. :)

*stealthily trying to lower the value of turbo buicks so I can buy a nice T type before everyone realizes they are fun and drive the price up even more*

I had one of them for 15 years, well, I mean I cloned a 70 Skylark and went the 455 Stage 1 route.

It would be best to learn them for yourself, because, other than an extremely experienced TR owner, there isn't a repair garage I would allow to work on either of my 2 TRs, or my GN drivetrain El Camino.

On your Elky, how did you do that "TURBO" emblem on the grille? Not to divert the OP's thread or anything ....

Nice job cleaning up that TR, it deserved better. That luggage rack is SWEET! Was that a factory option? I have never seen a trunk mounted luggage rack used before. How do you tie your luggage down?

The luggage rack is NOT a factory option on these car. It was installed by the previous owner.
When finished the car will not have the rack.
It’s about the only thing he did regretfully lol
I’ll make it right, as I have another TR deck lid.

I used to be a junkyard dog when there was plenty of parts for G-bodies. That particular emblem, didn't come from a g-body, and I really can't remember what kind of car I got it off.
