I was searching through pull your part, and the announced they were closing. Went to pay and saw these wheels next to the door to the office. How much? 20/ea+Tax
With no major curb rash, and complete with caps-, I paid the $80+tax

So for a cheap rehab you need-
1 can of black paint+3 cans of clear (3.98ea at home depot) $16.00
2 to 3 cans of oven cleaner at Dollar general (1.29ea) $4.00
0000 steel wool- (4.00pk) $4.00
wheel stickers 12.99 ebay

For a total with wheels of 116.99, before taxes
So I get them home, take off wheel weights, valve stems and wash them.then I apply oven cleaner and let it soak till it turns mustard yellow.

I steel wool the center caps and paint them black, and clear coat the rims. After the caps are done i attach a wheel sticker and Voila!

Nice job! I had those on one of my former Malibu's years ago. I think I ran 225/60/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear.

Good job! A little elbow grease and a few cans of spray paint and you're in like Flynn.
I had a set of those on my wagon previously. They really don't look bad painted body color.
They look good with the 1st generation S10 Blazer center caps, which are almost impossible to find.
These rims were also used on the S10 Blazer.
They did run truer than my old school rally wheels, which were all bent.
I still have 'em stacked up in my garage. Before you bolt them on, make sure you get the proper wheel nuts with the conical shoulder. They're usually metric.

I run them on the air cooled, need a set of center caps though.
Was the easiest way to upgrade tire size from stock, and still look good doing it. I did have to buy different lug nuts to run the alloys on the old studs though.

I've always pictured those wheels on a Corvair and knew they would look right at home...and they certainly look great on your Corvair. I also favored the 2nd generation Corvair, The later body style was much nicer than the original bathtub style.
