hmmmm, thinking that the newest project is for the things with the newest parts?

It ticks the boxes for quite a few uses. I've been looking for one like this for about two years. It's a tilt so it should be easier to load the BroHauler than lifting it into the back of the El Camino. It also has pretty decent ground clearance and stake pockets so I can use it around the yard with some taller sides. The first mission will be to haul a motorcycle and misc parts down to the swap meet in April. After that I'll do a little restoration work. It's a solid foundation but I'll be adding some tweaks for my personal uses.
First order of business will be fresh rubber and repacking the wheel bearings. I ordered some stuff last night. It looks worse than it really is because I snapped the photo just after towing it 20 miles through the snow. I brought it home with my little Vibe and it tows great. Probably because my 118hp makes everything seem effortless.

Ahhh. My first thought was TTR125 (my brother has one) but the exhaust is on the wrong side. Didn't realize the 230/250 were different.

The 250 is full sized, has aluminum wheels, and disc brakes at both ends. Pumper carb makes it feel stronger than it really is. Honestly the engine is great, the suspension is totally spent and not worth my time to rebuild (it wasn't great to begin with) or replace with better components. I'll probably just part it out and get the wife a lighter bike.

Finally got the front door squared away. Installer had to make two trips but it's done correctly this time. The opening wasn't square because the hinge side wasn't properly shimmed.

Instead of correcting the actual problem, everyone seemed to want to carve the door to fit. I finally convinced this installer to pull shims from the upper hinge.

Popped the casing, tossed the shims, ran some long screws, and viola, perfect reveals.

And who would have guessed, it latches and locks like it should too.

That shitt pisses me off! They are the professionals? I could of done that. I learned the hard way not to pay in full before the work is done. I had local counter top place put new counter tops in our kitchen. I had to put the sink in my self and reset the tops. I will not recommend this guy to no one! I could have done it my self, but I paid a lot more so I would not have too and then had to do it my self. Why hire someone if you can not trust them or they will not stand behind there work? That is not how I do work for my customers. I take responsibility for everything I do and take pride in my job. I guess I am a dieing breed? Sorry for the rant.

Preaching to the choir, man. The frustrating irony with this deal is that I was in the door business for several years so I am 110% capable of fixing it myself. But since I already paid someone to do it (6 months ago) I'm being a picky b*tch and making them do it.
I have zero respect for the construction industry at this point. I can't think of another industry where such sloppy work is just considered acceptable. My contractor basically just shrugs and ends up fixing a lot of stuff like this on his own. I'd never put up with it but he seems to think it's a 'beggars can't be choosers' situation. I know other people in the area building new houses with other contractors and it's no better for them. It's total bullshit. Can't wait for the next crash so all these talentless, toothless hacks will go back to their regular jobs at the car wash.
Sorry to offend anyone who may be reading this who makes their living that way -- I hope you're the rare exception.
