I just bought a clutch pedal bump stop for my 1980 elco 4 speed. It didn't previously have one in it and I can't seem to find anywhere online with a how to on where to place it exactly. Id rather have some guidance before just bolting it to the floor behind the clutch pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks

Is it a factory piece or a universal? Placement really depends on how you have things adjusted and where it will be most effective. I made one in the 67 that prevents me from pushing through the master cylinder max stroke. It has an internal stop, but I over did it once.

Now, I'm confused: is it a floor stop or a return bumper? The return bumper goes to the column support; it had a barb molded in that fit into a slot in the column support. I don't know what you bought or how you would install it from the link....
