Hooked up the crankcase vent to the turbo inlet bell, and fabricated/painted the e-fan to core support mounting straps last night.

I'll get the fan mounted tonight. I lucked out and tried buying the standard 2.7 v6 dodge intrepid fan for $25 from one of the local salvage yards a month or so ago but they gave be the 6 blade HD cop car/taxi spec high flow fan. It has high/low relays built in which works awesome since it's wired the same as the GN harness. Score!

Once I fill the rad up the wagon will go outside for a few months. I still need to get a chip, get it running smooth and put the dash back together but that doesn't stop the car from moving in the driveway. My friend that I had my lathe in his garage sold his house and moved so I have to take my lathe back until he gets his new shop set up. I'm storing his giant tig welder and drill press too so my 2 car shop goes to machinery storage and 1 car shop for the time being.

Bolted in the e-fan and filled it with coolant.

Bad news is the car runs like junk now. Starts good and then dies after 5 seconds. Smells super rich which i guess i cant be surprised about since I have the stock 20 some pound injector chip in it and I have 36lbers in it. I am also pretty sure the stock narrow band O2 sensor is trash so I'll pick a new one up of those.

Also my drivers side exhaust manifold has a crack the size of the grand canyon and i swear more exhaust goes out there than the tailpipe.

I'll get a chip ordered which I have been putting off and see if that makes it better. Might have to hook up the check engine light and read the trouble codes to see if anything else is getting confused.

Well I am living the turbo buick life. Bad MAF's and cracked manifolds.

I bought all these parts loose from a part out on a T-type 10+ years ago. The guy gave me 2 MAF's, one was off a 26k mile GN and had sharpie on it saying "Bad, probably" and there was another one in a box that looked clean and said "Tested good on car". I have been using the "bad" one for mockup and swapped to the "good" one for running the car. It turns out the bad one was good and the good one was bad, so I swapped the maf's and the car runs better.

I also have been dealing with a smoke volcano out of the drivers manifold. Looked and yup it was cracked. Took the manifold off and MIG welded it up with some stainless 308 wire. We will see if it holds..... While taking the manifold off I realized I never tightened the crossover on that side fully so that was my real problem, but the manifold was still cracked so I'm glad its fixed.

Car actually starts and runs. Hopefully I will get the e-fans wired tonight and run the car a bit, I will see if it gets up to temp and do a mini break in. The cam is reused from when i got the engine so it's already broken in but its a flat tappet so that doesnt mean much. I did get some engine break in oil so that might help.

Car has also been burning a TON of oil and making white smoke for the 60 seconds it had run so far, I hope its just raw oil in the cylinders from the rebuild and not something more serious. Good news is it makes 60psi of cold oil pressure and seems to start good so there are some wins.

Lol jb weld was tempting but the welder won out!

My vacuum brake booster vacuum block showed up today so I installed that and ended up replacing the vacuum line since it was dry rotted and I couldn't get them off without cutting them.

Wired the electric fan and put the drivers manifold back on. Swapped the steering shaft to the Grand Cherokee one I had sitting in the shelf.

Got the old maf back in and started the car, it idles and revs smooth, seems to run great, only issue is it blows a TON of white smoke out there exhaust. It didn't smell like oil a ton and im guessing it's unburnt fuel since I have 36 lb injectors in without a proper chip yet, or that's what I'm hoping. It runs good considering? I thought if the turbo was out I'd find oil in the up pipe but it was clean.

Also stated to build a gage cluster for the car. Combining the turbo regal dash and the 82 regal dash into one to get what I want.

If I can get the giant white smoke plume figured out I'll be in business. I don't know what else it would be besides unburnt fuel especially when I know it's got way too big of injectors for the chip.

Do you have an inferred thermometer?

Hit the exhaust manifold tubes see if they all match.

As you know, if there is a cool one there is your water.

Yeah I have some work to check. I do have an it thermometer so I'll start with that.

Not saying it isn't coolant but even when it was the cooling system was dry I seen to remember it was huffing white smoke. I'll check the header tubes and if I don't see anything obvious I'll drain the coolant and see if it still smokes.

I don't remember seeing any cracks in the heads or block but that doesn't mean I don't screw something up in assembly.

Don't get too excited about the smoke yet. How long have you ran it? Might clear up once it runs a while. Do you have a wideband? That would tell you if is fuel. If you think it is coolant leaking? Ask your buddies if one of them have a coolant pressure tester. If it holds pressure than, there is probably no leak.
