What I love about it is that everyone else around here seems to love it too. It's a bit of a rarity and unique and seemingly most people just love wagons.

What I hate is how cheaply made it feels in comparison to my 78 Delta 88. The Delta just feels more solid and rugged and it rides like a much more luxurious vehicle than it is. The G just feels..... for lack of a better word.... cheap.

I love that I can squeeze a big American V-8 in as well as a manual transmission. But I hate the rust, paint, seats, leaks, headliner, wheels, brakes, bumper tail lights, and all the plastic crap.

yup, that's what i like too. I saw one dude a few years back who squeezed a 572 cui from GM Goodwrench in and that beast was still not "bulky" or chunky in its looks :D

Love:
Versatility - about anything bolts into it easily.
Repairable - I can repair it myself.. No $30,000 Computer needed to tell me what to do.
Looks - Classic styling.
People who give the thumbs up, chat about it, want to see it.
Rarity - You sure don't see them every day.

Hate:
Low(ish) value.. Not as high as I think they should be, but...
Stock 305 should have been a 350.
Rarity of rear ends.
Some of the parts costs.. Window Scrapers for $100? Uhm... really?

I know you said one, but I couldn't type just one.

Love-
It's my first car, you always have a special place in your heart for your first car.
It's the first car I did burnouts, donuts, jumps (whoops), and generally jackassery in. You never forget that lol.
It's the reason I got a job, it's the reason I started building engines. It's the reason I am into working on older cars as opposed to reading magazines and internet articles.
It's Buick powered, and that is how it will stay.
It's been an Iowa car for 34 years this July, has 99,055 miles, and it has virtually no rust on it anywhere.

Hate-
Stupid *ss floppy windows.
Rotten body bushings.
Factory non GNX clusters.
The exhaust I have on it. It sounds great, but it hangs so damn low. I need to put that g force on and get that jegs kit once the lake in my driveway goes away.
The otherwise pristine dash having a large split on the radio bezel. Why tf isn't the radio part separate like the speedo is?

In short, the good far outweighs the bad. I've come very close to selling it a few times, but each time I can't bear to part with it. It pisses me off almost daily, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks for sharing! You made me smile today on what you said "It's the reason I got a job" . Its the very same reason I did TOO! I wanted my 1st car so bad, I started working at 14 to get it. .....By the way, those aluminum Buick "T" wheels look sharp on that regal of yours!

I felt completely the same about our 81 Delta 88, just a better car top to bottom.

Love the number of cars built for the run of the generation.
Hate that most of them been scraped & sent to China to make cheap junk.
Really hate the asses who jack up the prices of cars & parts cause they think they're old &/or rare.
