He is not entirely wrong, but - again he is speaking to facebook's day-dreaming skill-less Joe-6-pack, and he is in the business of making money.
Sloppy works... if done right-ish.

That was painful to watch.....I don't know anything about this guy, but just listening to him..... I would bet his shop tunes 13 second Hondas.
I disagree with his message.....if you are resourceful, and stick with proven methods.....a low budget/junkyard build can be every bit as reliable as a high $ build.....sloppy mechanics is living proof of that......salvage yard ls truck motors and 4l80e's, decapped injectors, Chinese turbos and waste gates....etc. are holding up just fine to big power.
I don't like sloppy. I strongly prefer well thought out/disciplined. Then again, I'm known locally as a "hard *ss". At least "*ss" is right.
I'm opinionated. I've been accused of being brutally honest. Those who were accusing had upside down U's on their faces.
He is right about the 'hidden cost' of hot rodding. I don't have a lot of patience for those you have to explain that to.

Yeah....kind of a no brainer......if your idea of a build is writing out a check to a shop.....then $10k gets you more reliability than $5k.Agreed. But, he isn't directing it at resourceful people who approach things with an objective eye; rather he is directing his message at folks who just subjectively want and don't have any appreciation for what it takes to accomplish those desires.
I have a whole build dedicated (more or less) to budget engineering a turbo LS swap.
Yeah....kind of a no brainer......
