You're preaching to the choir! It's the same exact thing over here if not even worse. Going to a US-Car-Show over here feels like standing at a Ford dealership.
For (most) Germans if you talk about US-Cars or owning one, the first thing that comes to mind is "Mustang" :blam:
And than you have Car Shows with limited space and the rarities need to park "outside" because the place is packed with Mustangs, Camaros ect.ect.
And again .. i'm flattered and happy you like my Monte :giggle: I appreciate hearing that from someone driving a beautiful Black GN!

Lol, I hear you on that one AND AGREE totally, "Like standing in a Ford dealership" LOL!! And I guess the Mustangs and Camaro's are the American "iconic" cars, but i like different, and to me, The "A" and "G" body cars were some of the best and last r.w.d. vehicles to come out of GM, and i just LOVE them. And thank you SO Much for the wonderful compliment, really appreciate it,....I have a quick story for you about that, (me loving your car even though I own a GN)..I REALLY REALLY DO!! :) .....and when you said that, I think you may have had the same experience as I in the past......(STORY TIME)-----> I own GN's and several other A and G body cars, and my experience with the Grand national groups is exactly this, if you don't own a GN, your car is nothing, for that matter, if you don't own an inner cooled GN, they perceive you and your ride as nothing, and to be bluntly honest, most are a bunch of disrespectful and arrogant idiots, and to me, are not car enthusiast if they have no respect for others or others rides. I'm not like that, and i'm proud of myself for disassociating myself from them, hence, why I joined this wonderful "G body"group. To me, everyone's ride is important and no better than my own. Thanks again for the wonderful compliment my friend! really really appreciate it! :)

i don't want my compliment to lose all its power, but i never really had any bad experience with a GN Owner. Mostly because there aren't that many over here in germany and probably because they rather stick to themselfs as you've said. I actually just know one person over here, he owns a ton of G-Bodys. A black '87 ElCo SS, a black '86 Monte Carlos SS and a 87 GNX. What i was trying to say with my compliment - and i still hope you appreciate it:

You didn't lose a drop of power from your much appreciated compliment my friend :) really appreciate that greatly! ....and WOW! maybe your friends the only one over there with a G.N.X.! It would be very interesting to know how many of the "A and G" bodies are over there! Problem with GM was they never kept "great" records, unless its for a Corvette lol

Right now I couldn't get :poop: for my Monte as it is still in just out of the model kit form. I could get $1000 just for the roller frame with out the 350 & Saginaw, the 350 would have to go at core since I have yet to fire it up. :(

I rattle it around in my head once in awhile, my 83 ECSS was purchased for $600 in 6/2017 Since then I have put about 12-1500 into it for around a total of $2k ish. Probably could be persuaded out of it at 4500-5K.
The 442 is pretty much at $0 . ( Paid 300, sold off about $600 in pieces and invested about 300 back into it) I could let it go in the 1500-$2k range, ( but that is asking ALOT because It is missing the original engine, and the Pinkslip) Funny how it seems some of us ( definitely Me!) won't pay much when buying, but want a fortune to sell!
