Nice score

I'm excited about it. The weight difference is unbelievable.

I dropped the manifold off at the machine shop today. Bob thought it was in pretty good shape.

The timing cover is now installed on the short block. Also Bob straightened the oil pan and glass beaded it. The windage tray is installed, as well as the Melling oil pickup, and the oil pan itself.

Geez that Buick 350 is a tiny block. If it wasn't for the long front cover, it would fit in a tiny spot. Won't it weigh around 400 pounds with the T/A intake? Looking good.

Thanks! The block is really wide relative to it's other dimensions, definitely has very different proportions than a SBC. The TA intake weighs in at 16 lbs vs 56 lbs with the cast iron intake, so yeah it should weight right around 400 lbs or so.

Weigh the whole thing + manifolds and carb once fully assembled pls
Even I doubt the 450lbs all iron weight... But if it is, it will be well under 400lbs with the aluminum heads... 375 or so.

Sure but I'd need to find a big enough scale.
