Hutch, they were ripping you a new one on ROP about the wheel construction. Have you had them checked for runout? You should pop in over there, and set'em straight.

I see what you did there. :)

Jealousy runs rampant at ROP it seems and everyone seems to know SO much more than anyone else, ever, and probably most weinering about it has never attempted to assemble a wheel in their lifetime. ROP has never been much of a supportive entity for anyone doing anything different. If you don't fall into their groupthink, they'll gang up on you. Not to say there isn't some good individuals on ROP, but there were/are several that are complete asshats even when they don't need to be which can totally ruin an otherwise normal experience. I totally get disagreements, but there's something seriously wrong with a few of them. They'd hate on their own mother.

Also, meant to ask where you are in MD? We should get together the next time I am up there. Get all the Marylanders together. I have yet to buy Bruce a beer...

St. Mary's, but I work in D.C. I would love a MD meet and greet!!

Thanks for the heads up. I may just let them have their fun. My welder has a jig set up using a spindle so he can check runout before, during, and after welding. Most wheel co. have an acceptable runout of just below 0.030. I had no more than 0.006. I'm good with that. I may jump over there for a read and a giggle.

Well, that is about 1.5 hours south of my aunt's house so not too bad! Maybe somewhere nice in the middle. It would be cool to get pics of your car and mine together once yours is done!

Has the weather gotten any better up there yet? Or are you working on yours in a heated shop? ;)

Sounds like the guys on ROP are butt hurt because Hutch has them badass one off wheels and they don't! It's funny to me that even grown *ss men act like kids when they can't have something. Hutch, keep grinding buddy as I know you will.
