What's up everyone I got an 81 el camino about a year ago my fusible links melted ever since I haven't been able to get it back running I've replaced the ignition switch, fusible links and is about to start chasing wires. The car starts in crank position but when key is released to run position I have no power on red coil wire I've checked it with a multimeter and I have no power when I touch my negative terminal and coil wire but when I put my tester negative on HOT coil wire and my hot on hot I get negative reading of -12v I get this reading on every hot accessory wire in the car it's like all my hots are grounded I get nothing from my tester light when clipping to ground and probing a hot wire im going crazy trying to figure this out any help would be so helpful

Did you get anywhere on this? I'm guessing that the ignition switch is adjusted correctly on top of the column? Try pulling all the fuses and test your circuits one at a time.

Glad to hear you found it.
