Weld it in and maybe prime it tomorrow. Fitment on the bottom isnt perfect but the stock stuff lasted 250K if this lasts 100k i'll call it a success :)

Well I'm happy to report the evaporust works very well. I soaked the swivel jaw for about 40 hours and it looks great. There is a couple small specks of rust still on it but they will come off with a wire brush. If you don't have access to a blasting cabinet, you need a gallon of this stuff at least in your garage for bolts and small brackets and things. I did the starter heat shield from my Buick engine, it was really heavily rusted and came out looking new. I'm planning on picking up a 5 gallon pail of this stuff eventually. I now have the front jaw soaking in it, I'll probably leave it for 24 to 48 hours or so. I got all the paint removed from everything and I ground that old booger weld off the front jaw and I think it looks pretty good.

I did something I was putting off, pulled out the manual, did 3 hours of research on google, went to the parts store to get what I needed and changed the wiper blades (both of them) on the Grand Cherokee....

I did something on a Grand Cherokee too. Pulled the ailing 545RFE, rebuilt it, put in a new converter, split the transfer case and checked the clutches ( you gotta split it to replace the friggin front output seal, the only one seeping naturally) pulled the front diff, put in some Aussie poly bushings, replaced both upper strut mounts, replaced the transfer case motor because I broke the wiring connector trying to unplug it and since the exhaust was out anyway, replaced all the O2 sensors. It actually worked and didn't throw any codes at me either! I must be living right!

Changed the oil in the CVPI. Originally was going to have Walmart do it, only to be told to my surprise that they stopped doing oil changes at 2 pm, right as I got there. Because of that I drove to Advance for the oil and filter. Nobody offers good service anymore, nobody.

The front jaw soaked overnight in Evapo-Rust. It came out just as good as everything else. I ran the machined surfaces through the belt sander very quickly to clean them up a little. I'm not going for perfection, so they are good where they are. I have the base soaking in Evapo-Rust now, then I'll just have to soak the main body.
