Sooo shiiiny.

I really covet that lift.

Me too. This is at a buddy’s shop. All we have at home is a Mac Tools motorcycle jack. Which is perfect for cleaning and tire changes, but terrible for a job like this.
I still need to wash it, but its been raining the past few days.

Drag racing, its fun but hard on belts.

Yeah :(

I’ve really been getting the itch to go to the track, maybe soon.

All cleaned up and went for the first ride. I doubled checked the belt tension, all seems good!

Still cannot believe that thing has 87,000 miles on it or whatever?

Looks really sharp! (y)

Like all of my projects I cannot get done, getting my year one Kaw LTD1000 restored and on the road is currently third on the list.

I'd probably pull a William H Macy in Wild Hogs moment trying to ride it again at my age  but I've been told it's worth $7-8K easy being the year one model. Only paid $2200 new. Graduation present to myself back in '77.

Would look just like this again with a little TLC . . . well in my head anyway!

Thanks! Cool bike, it looks like fun to ride. I was actually looking at those older cafe style bikes before I got this one.

what happened?
Battery, I think. I haven’t had time to properly diagnose. It lost power going down the road, but still had lights and gauges, try to start it back up and the starter just clicks.
